a very long week

entry #4

It feels like my last entry was weeks ago, but when i checked it was this past Monday. this week has seriously gone by so. slowly. 

I've had some more fun events though! Quick highlights recap here:

TUESDAY

- Was a momentary super senior, went over to the high school to interview Khushi for my class project. It was so fun to see her again and catch up a bit

- Voted for the first time and felt like way too much of an adult. Before voting, I tried to become a more informed on the candidates and world events and such, but it made me just hate everyone and feel really sad about the many many problems of this world. Tears were shed.

WEDNESDAY

- Had a good conversation with Evan after institute. We stood and chatted in the parking lot for almost an hour haha. I've recently decided that parking lot conversations are one of the best things ever. There's something very poetic about them that I'll have to put more thought into and write in a post sometime.

- Face-timed with friends while we tried to convince Nat to open her mission call. Didn't manage to do that, but I did play a solid amount of shell shockers with Evan, Nat, and Jackfather. I'm not very good but it was lots of fun.

- Natalie opened her mission call! She's going to Austin, Texas!! It was so fun to watch her open it and to catch up with some people I haven't seen in a while. 

- Went with her, Meg, Sam, Hunter, Jackfather, and Ty to get ice cream after 

THURSDAY

- Had a really awesome morning! Went with Emmett and Millie to do temple baptisms, had a couple little miracles, and really felt the spirit!

- Pit stop at swig while driving Millie to school 

- Got lots of journaling and homework done

FRIDAY

- I registered for next semester of classes, honestly pretty excited about my schedule.

- Skipped class oops, but had a very nice and peaceful morning.

- Went and volunteered at the Children's Museum! I'm helping with craftivities for a bit, we made paper wreaths and it was so freaking fun. 

- Overcame a little social anxiety by going and getting panda by myself. It hit the spot

- Worked on my anthropology essay, it's on arranged marriage and I actually really enjoyed doing it.

- Got a call from Logan and ended up hanging out with him, Natalie, and Evan. We played too much rummikub, talked for a little while, then watched Bluey. It was really chill and wholesome and I really love my friends (if you haven't noticed yet)

SATURDAY

- today!

- Spent five hours on homework ahh, but it's done and I can have some time to rest before going back at it next week.

- I washed my sheets! Sleeping is gonna be awesome tonight

- Felt a lot of gratitude throughout the day. I'm incredibly blessed.

A few notable things I've consumed over the week:

- D&C section 4, been studying and learning lots from there

- RVVL podcast, lots of good insight

- Pride and Prejudice, eee it's such a good read. I've been absolutely eating it up

- Tom Gauld comics, I've been finding those funny lately

- The song to bem by Jovem Dionisio. Do I know a word? nope. are the vibes immaculate when I'm listening to it in the car? Absolutely yes.

- Lots of Pinterest, it's 100% my favorite form of social media. 

- "there's something to be said about the love in the gaze of a friend who's trying to find you across the room but hasn't seen you yet."
